Slow start to the day leading up to lunch with our friends Dave and Brenda, who live close by, and who we met on our Christmas Market River Cruise in December of 2015. We enjoy an amazing lunch at the BeachHouse restaurant nearby and catch up on the past 7 months.
We came back to Lydia's house for coffee and more chatting, then spend the afternoon relaxing.
Another family dinner and watching the Olympics, and the evening is topped off with a drive to the observation point at the top of Mount Douglas to enjoy the sunset over the Saanich peninsula. The view of the ocean, mountains and green fields is breathtaking and we linger for more than an hour before heading back to their home for a nightcap and more Olympics.
