Arrival in Skagway, Alaska
Itinerary:
- scenic railway trip from Skagway to Fraser, B.C
- Bus trip to Yukon Territory with a visit to the Yukon Wildlife museum
- Return bus trip to Skagway
The day started with the best local weather in weeks - sunny and 13C, riang to 19 in the afternoon.
This made for the most magnificent pictures on the mountains, lakes, glaciers, and light puffy clouds against a deep blue sky.
Our tour started with a short mini bus ride to the train station in Skagway to board the White Pass line that will take us up the mountain to Fraser BC where we will continue with the minivan into the Yukon Territory with stops in CarCross for lunch and then back down the mountain to end up in Skagway.
Frequent stops for pictures and quiet enjoyment of the mountains majesty provided us with a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this amazing country in ideal weather conditions.
