Sidney Spit 8/16

Alaska - 2016/08/16

A much anticipated sail in Lydia and Peters 26ft vessel awaits us in the morning - we lunch fixings, grab our hats and sweaters and head down to the marina where they berth their sailboat.
We cruise over to Sidney Spit and tie off at the government docks.
Lydia and Peter set up and drop a crab trap in the bay and then we enjoy a Delicious lunch of Korean noodles and white wine.
After lunch we take a hike into the provincial park and return to the boat to retrieve the crab traps.
To our surprise we have trapped 11 crabs! All but three are too big to keep and they go back into the water.
When we are back at the house, another excellent family dinner has been planned and sharing of pics and stories goes on until we turn in.
An early morning bus and Ferry ride will take us to Canada Place and our princess island ship.
